Britney Spears Deep Dive on “Pop Pantheon”
“Pop Pantheon” does weekly deep dives into the biggest names in pop music and, yet, host DJ Louie XIV had never spotlighted Britney Spears—until now. And, boy, was it worth the wait. Instead of tackling the Princess of Pop in one or two parts, he decided to break down her career into a five-episode series featuring some incredible guests from The New York Times, The New Yorker, NPR and more, and it’s been a true joy to listen to for this Britney stan of 25+ years. He’s delivering a incredibly well researched, thoughtful and informed discussion of one of the most iconic and impactful pop stars of the century, and it’s well worth the listen. Four out of the five parts are available now.
Bethenny Frankel on Alix Earle’s Podcast “Hot Mess”
I’ve never listened to Alix Earle’s podcast and I probably never will again, but I was curious to hear her conversation with Bethenny because of the prominent place they both have on TikTok, despite being from different generations and having very different dispositions. Fascinating for people who like to read between the lines with this stuff!
Watch
“Black Bag” (in theaters)
I loved this movie! Director Steven Soderbergh delivers a tight, entertaining, thrilling movie that is perfect for a trip to the theater. It co-stars Cate Blanchett and Michael Fassbender as married intelligence agents, one of whom is suspected of being a mole. The supporting cast (shout out to Marisa Abela from “Industry”) is also fantastic in this. An all around fun, gripping ride.
“Long Bright River” (Peacock)
Amanda Seyfried starring in a “Mare of Easttown” meets “Under The Bridge”-esque mystery series? Say less. Halfway through this one, and I’m all in.
“Real Housewives of Atlanta” Star Shamea Morton’s House Tour
This is the kind of aspirational wealth we come to “Real Housewives” to see! Shamea has already proven to be a surprising breath of fresh on the first two episodes of “RHOA” this season, but I had been dying to get a better look at her sprawling $9 million house—here it is! (Here’s a longer version with ET’s Brice Sander, too.)

The State of “Real Housewives” Reunions
Brian Moylan returned to the podcast to discuss a new trend in “Real Housewives” reunions he recently wrote about in his Bravo newsletter for Vulture, and I loved our chat! For the first 20 minutes of the episode, I also discussed the latest from “Summer House” and “Southern Charm.”
Discussing The Latest From “Summer House” and “Southern Charm”
“Morgan’s Pop Talks” podcast host Morgan Paige also came back to chat about the confusing Venita and JT timeline on “Southern Charm,” our latest thoughts on Paige and Craig’s breakup and more.

Looking forward a quiet weekend at home in the city, doing some spring cleaning, catching up on shows and finishing the book I’m reading right now, “Early Thirties” by Josh Duboff.
Black Bag was soooo good, and I hope more people see it! It shows why, when done right, all you need is 90 minutes for a great story!
