This week’s must-read of the week is an essay by Dr. Lilly Jay, the woman who Ethan Slater was married to before (while?) he started dating Ariana Grande on the set of “Wicked.” It’s an incredibly well-written piece that provides our first real insight into who she is — and she seems like an incredible person. (Dr. Lilly Jay for The Cut)
The other is the lengthy report on sexual assault allegations lodged against “English Teacher” star and creator, Brian Jordan Alvarez, by his former collaborator, Jon Ebeling. (E. Alex Jung for Vulture)
Variety’s list of the 30 most powerful women in reality TV is dominated by Bravolebrities — as it should be! (Emily Longeretta and Kate Aurthur for Variety)
I loved this conversation between New York Magazine editor-in-chief David Haskell and Interview Magazine editor-in-chief Mel Ottenberg. (Interview Magazine)
Great interview with JADE, who is still at the beginning stages of an incredibly exciting post-Little Mix solo career. (Joan Summers for Paper Magazine)
Taking stock of Bravo’s year in 2024. (Louis Staples for The Cut)

Angie Katsanevas on “Las Culturistas”
Everyone’s favorite pillar of the Greek community became just the third Real Housewife to ever appear on Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers’ essential pop culture podcast, and what a stellar appearance it was! I loved their chat and getting to find out a bit more about her beyond the show — but it was her “I Don’t Think So Honey” segment at the end of the episode that will stick with me for a while. Listen above and watch the video she alludes to in the episode below!
Watch
“Black Doves” (Netflix)
This six-episode British thriller packs a punch, and it’s a fantastic vehicle for Keira Knightley, who gets to show off a rarely-seen side to her. She plays a spy married to a British politician, who operates alongside Ben Wishaw’s character, and they have an electric dynamic. Netflix just announced that they’ve picked “Black Doves” back up for a second season, so get into it if you haven’t already!
Sabrina Carpenter’s “Tiny Desk Concert” (NPR)
2024 really was her year, as far as I’m concerned — and she’s capping it off with a triumphant “Tiny Desk” concert? We love to see it. If you want more Sabrina, throw on her cute Netflix holiday special, “A Nonsense Christmas.”
